Welcome!

ACT Functional Nutrition takes a root cause, science-based approach to better wellness. Our goals are to bring clarity through education, support healing, and to empower you on your health journey.

Together, we’ll navigate all areas of your lifestyle. This patient-centered approach, allows the practitioner to understand you, your symptoms, and your personal goals to best develop an individualized plan. Functional testing, when appropriate, gives an in-depth clinical look you may not have encountered with other practitioners. We promise to treat you and not only the labs results.

Areas of focus include:

GI/digestive integrity

metabolic health

hormone support

thyroid conditions

weight management

bariatrics

Amy has been a Registered Dietitian for over a decade. Her goal is for patients to understand “why” and “how” their bodies function to help regain control of their health.

Her patient-centered approach lends to a comfortable and trusting space for clients to share their experiences. This often leds to extended partnerships with patients, covering many seasons of their lives.

She believes the stress around food is often worse than the food itself. Amy works towards food inclusion and finding a lifestyle that you can thrive in and sustain.

A continuous learner and a naturally curious seeker of “why”, Amy, looked to further her education in functional nutrition, medicine, and overall wellness through the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy, GHT Academy, Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management, and Functional Nutrition Practitioner Institute. She completed her B.S and internship through Iowa State University.

FUNCTIONAL TESTING

You’re unique and your labs should be too!

Labs can provide insight into clinical and supportive needs which clients may not have encountered with other practitioners.

ACT Functional Nutrition encourages clients to test, not guess. While also listening to you, the client, and not just a lab value.

Together, we can make labs, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations that are appropriate for you.

  • GUT: GI Map Stool Test, SIBO Breath Testing

  • HORMONES: Thyroid (TSH, free T4, free T3, RT3, antibodies),  DUTCH Adrenal, DUTCH Complete
